THE QUESTIONS WE ASKED AND DOH CALLED THEM SINFUL ARE AS FOLLOWS:
In 1998 we dared to question DOH why we were given 3 weeks to clean up Asbestos whereas, they had known for years that Asbestos was here.
Why is the school we bought riddled with Asbestos and lead, we asked DOH?
In 1999: We asked DOH to disclose to us how many children had died, got sick or may be sick or dying in the past fifty (50) years.
Why should a teacher die from complications of Asbestos from this school and you do nothing to the Guthrie’s (former owners)?
Beginning from 1999 until 2008 we repeatedly required DOH not to step over our children as they slept or walk on their covers, or do not uncover them, arouse them out of their sleep forcibly.
Do not continue to confront us with statements such as “Spending thousands to buy food for these children would not give you gold medal.”
Do not confront or question a teacher in the middle of the class-room
Do not frequent and disrupt classes as you measure and re-measure the floors and classrooms which do not move in the nights or over the weeks.
Do not come to the school grounds on Saturdays or after we had gone for the day to give us fictitious and fraudulently manufactured violations
Cease and desist from making calls to ACS and reporting that “the program is closed down”.
Do not threaten us with “if you file a complaint or sue DOH you would not have a school to run unless of course you fax a copy of any statutory exemptions of DOH from their own acts and or omissions”. Do not continue to attempt to force us to hand over our children to the police because a parent or two would come for pick-up late. We prefer to speak to the parent, give them time, then charge them late fee, rather than take our children to the Police Station; and straight to ACS.
Do not say while standing in the center of the children’s dining period to declare “how we are spoiling the children and making parents look bad, how we keep cooking these dishes that are too expensive for “these parents and how I would be shocked what these children eat at home”.
Why is our capacity cut from the old 58, first to 25 then 40,18,25,27 after we gutted the whole building, cleared the old cluttered rooms, rewired the building with proper capacity wiring, equipped all class-rooms with required learning tools and installed commercial meter, why?
Why should you not stop harassing us for buying the children’s food from Costco rather than from “bulky unsorted, unsanitary and sometimes rotten cheap food from Hunts Point or by the way “we are not outside/offending any code.”
Cease and desist from further warning us concerning “Children’s pledge” which we wrote for morning praise. Stop asking me why I wrote that; “They are made at a special time to be the greatest,” That they shall be doctors, lawyers, Senators, and presidents, that they shall lend and not borrow, That other children shall have hope because of them. That they shall be a gain and not a loss etc. Stop coming in here and calling their pledge “False promise,” just because you do not believe that God’s promises pertains the Black and Brown children perhaps?
Why should Ms McGhee, Ms Taylor and now Ms Wortham have this constant grievance regarding; “you do not need two Directors, not these PHD or MIT degrees. These are little kids. But you continually disapprove them out of envy perhaps? I retorted.
Ms. Theresa Wortham, Ms. Crystal Carr, et al, stop requiring us to expose staff confidential files in the front office, rather than in the Administrator’s office where their information is secured; and consequently giving us “blanket violations” because you make frequent-uncalled-for-visits when the administrator is absent and thus, the personnel office locked.
We required from Ms. Theresa Wortham, Ms. Crystal Carr, Ms. Jacqueline Price, Ms. Cynthia Rivera, Mr. Judane Lazarre, et al; to stop sending us trumped up “CORRECTIVE ACTION NOTICES” in lieu of effecting required approvals, or after you have “LOST OR MISPLACED” papers for the Sixth (6) time sometimes We have also required Ms. Barbara Glover-Cox, now the Borough Manager in the Bronx, to explain in writing why she had, on two occasions, “MISTAKINGLY” notified ACS that we closed our program(s).
Because we cannot possibly chronicle all we had and are being put through simply because we refused to run a school like everyone else, but to be care-takers and advocates for the children given to us, to as well educate, we must say to you our parents, our nation and brethren, “WE SHAL AIR MUCH MORE OF OUR SUFFERING IN A DOCUMENTARY OR IN COURT.
OUR GOD BLESS AND KEEP AMERICAS CHILDREN !!
Please let us know how you feel about this rampart treatment against our children and parents.
